Russ Woodmansee

VP of Operations

Russell is a Silicon Valley based executive with over 19 years of senior management experience in business operations, manufacturing and product fulfillment.

Prior to Coolisys Technologies, Russell provided remote/embedded executive management consulting services in the operations space for early-stage technology companies shepherding capabilities from engineering development prototypes to full-on mass production readiness (time-to-market, excellence in quality, COGS target attainment, and robust business process).

From 2009 to 2016 Russell held several senior management roles with Data Domain (acquired by EMC in 2009) focused on scaling capabilities for global production/fulfillment to match market demand ($200M to over $1B+ annual revenue in less than 3 years). While at EMC, Russell was selected to form and manage a global team for strategic planning and program management of EMC’s product fulfillment IT, systems infrastructure, and business process (10+ product lines, six outsourced Tier-1 CM fulfillment sites and 3 internal factories = $18B annual shipping revenue) with a goal of creating leverage by establishing simplification and digitization initiatives to build any product, anywhere, anytime.

From 1998 – 2009 Russell established and managed the operations team and the manufacturing supply chain for several startups, including Hammerhead Systems, Tahoe Networks (acquired by Nokia in 2003), and Shasta Networks (acquired by Nortel Networks in 1999).

Earlier in Russell’s career he held a variety of product development, program management, and manufacturing engineering roles with Echelon (IPO in 1998), Unisys Corporation, and Amdahl Corporation.

Russell has a BS in Industrial Design from San Jose State University and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.
